Chinook City will be offering two “Try It” sessions as part of Sport Calgary’s All Sport One City initiative to get Calgarians having fun in new sports.
Roller derby sessions will be hosted January 22 at the Beltline Gym at 7pm and 8pm, January 26 at West Hillhurst Community Association at 8pm and 9pm. Click the dates for registration links or find more information here.
For the remainder of 2018, our end of month scrimmages will feature a trivia contest! We’ll be drawing for a Make Calgary Skate Again shirt.
The September trivia question is: What was the first Canadian roller derby league? (modern 2000’s roller derby)
Attend the scrimmage and enter your answer for a chance to win. The first correct answer drawn (immediately following the scrimmage) will get to choose your size in a white or black t-shirt.
Are you interested in Roller Derby? Looking for a fun way to stay active?
Join us on October 2, 2018 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm at the Beltline Gym and Aquatic Centre (221 – 12 Ave SW, Calgary, AB) to find out more about opportunities with our league. Strap on some skates, get your roll on, and learn how to get involved in this fast paced, super fun sport!
