Chinook City will be offering two “Try It” sessions as part of Sport Calgary’s All Sport One City initiative to get Calgarians having fun in new sports.
Roller derby sessions will be hosted January 22 at the Beltline Gym at 7pm and 8pm, January 26 at West Hillhurst Community Association at 8pm and 9pm. Click the dates for registration links or find more information here.
For the remainder of 2018, our end of month scrimmages will feature a trivia contest! We’ll be drawing for a Make Calgary Skate Again shirt.
The September trivia question is: What was the first Canadian roller derby league? (modern 2000’s roller derby)
Attend the scrimmage and enter your answer for a chance to win. The first correct answer drawn (immediately following the scrimmage) will get to choose your size in a white or black t-shirt.

Chinook City Roller Derby plays competitive men’s and women’s Roller Derby in a fun, athletic, and inclusive team environment. We’re looking for new skaters! No experience necessary: our training program will teach how to skate and, more importantly, how to excel at the sport of roller derby!
