Announcing Chinook City’s 2013 Home Season:

April 12-14 – Flat Track Fever at the Olympic Oval!
June 8 – Double Header 1
July 6 – Double Header 2
August 10 – Double Header 3
August 24 – Double Header 4

This season we are pleased to have the Acadia Recreation Complex (240 90 Avenue Southeast, Calgary) as our home venue. Save the dates and stay tuned for more information on opponents, entertainment, tickets, and after-parties!

*note, the July bout has changed to JULY 6 so that it won’t conflict with the RDAC Western tournament!

Glenmore Reservoir Dogs vs Vancouver Murder

Yesterday, in closed bout action, the Dogs hosted the guys from the Vancouver Murder (who were in town after taking on the Dreadnaughts on Saturday night). It was a very intense and hard hitting bout. While the Murder skated away with the win, our Dogs did not give it up easily (with an amazing comeback in the second half!) The final score was 172 to 137. Nice work, Dogs!

A huge thank you (and safe travels) to the Murder as they make their way back to the West Coast! We will definitely see you again… at Flat Track Fever!

The Kill Jills would like to send an EPIC thank you to everyone who came out to our fundraising event at Ceili’s on September 29th. An extra special thank you to All Hands on Jane for entertaining the crowd!

Congratulations to the Dogs. They traveled to Saskatoon this weekend to take on Saskatchewan’s Women’s All-Star team! The guys came away with the win with a score of 194 to 136! A huge thank you to SRDL for being fantastic hosts!

A reminder that there will be a special League General Meeting on October 14th at 12:30pm (Studio ‘A’ at the YWCA). It is vital that all voting members of the league attend.

We will be hosting a Burgers & Beers fundraising event on November 4th to correspond to the WFTDA Championships! The event will be at Titans Twisted Tavern. There will be a silent auction and prize draws. Tix are $15. It gets you a burger & beer and are available from any CCRD member.
