Kill Jills vs. B52 Bellas

Last night, the Kill Jills took on the B52 Bellas of the Calgary Roller Derby Association! It was an intense and tough game. The ladies of the CRDA took the win with a score of 282 to 85. But your Jills played their hearts out (especially in the second half) and are extremely proud of their game. And they certainly learned a lot!

Congratulations to End-Her Wiggin on being voted at the Jills MVP by the Bellas!

The Jills next bout is on June 8th (our first home bout!) as they take on the Deathbridge Derby Dames! And at the same double header, our Glenmore Reservoir Dogs will be taking on Red Deer’s Dreadnaughts!

Gas City Rollers vs Kill Jills

On December 8th, the Kill Jills headed to Medicine Hat to take on the Gas City Rollers. It was a super intense game with Gas City taking an early lead in the first half. Even though the Jills were hit with several injuries, they tried their best to close the gap, but Gas City was able to hold onto their lead. Gas City came away with the 244 to 141 win. Next time, ladies!

CCRD would like to send a lot of love, squishy hugs, and healing vibes to Negative Nancy, Delirium and Barbrawl Walters! Heal up, ladies!

While the December 8th game was the last one for our Yellow Samurais, they will be back in action in 2013! Both the Jills and the Glenmore Reservoir Dogs are confirmed teams for Flat Track Fever 2013!

We are also excited to announce that we have a new sponsor! Our friends at Nerd Roller Skates are official sponsors of Chinook City! Yay!

Lastly (and most importantly), Chinook City Roller Derby would like to wish all of our members, officials, volunteers and fans a warm Happy Holidays! 2013 will be an amazing year for CCRD!

Announcing Chinook City’s 2013 Home Season:

April 12-14 – Flat Track Fever at the Olympic Oval!
June 8 – Double Header 1
July 6 – Double Header 2
August 10 – Double Header 3
August 24 – Double Header 4

This season we are pleased to have the Acadia Recreation Complex (240 90 Avenue Southeast, Calgary) as our home venue. Save the dates and stay tuned for more information on opponents, entertainment, tickets, and after-parties!

*note, the July bout has changed to JULY 6 so that it won’t conflict with the RDAC Western tournament!
