MAY 17th, 2012:
For those of you traveling to the RDAC Bootcamp in Kamloops this weekend, a couple of our Dogs will be teaching their tricks! Catch Gear Matters with Flustercluck to learn all about setting up and maintaining your skates and bring all your questions about rules and refs to Dev Null's officiating classes!
We're lucky to have these smart skaters here at Chinook City. We hope you learn as much from them as we do!
In other news, We regret to inform everyone that the June 16th bout has been canceled as this is the same weekend as Westerns in Nelson, BC. But! Our next home bout is July 21st at Stu Peppard Arena in Calgary!
In the meantime, if you are looking for some Chinook City action, our Glenmore Reservoir Dogs will take on the Dreadnaughts on June 2nd in Canmore. Also, some of the Kill Jills will be helping out our sisters of Bow Valley Roller Derby as they take on the Nightshades in double-header goodness! This is also BVRD's first home bout so you should come out and make it awesome!
The following weekend, your friendly neighbourhood Kill Jills will be traveling up to Cold Lake to face off against the Lakeland Ladykillers! This is also Lakeland's first home bout so the Jills want to help make it a gooder!

APRIL 16th, 2012:
Welp, it's over! Your friendly neighbourhood Roller Derby league successfully hosted Flat Track Fever 2012! Our inaugural year was an amazing success! Chinook City would like to thank all of the skaters, coaches, referees, NSOs, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, and fans who attended the event. Without you, it wouldn't have happened. So thank you!
We'd also like to send out a very special thank you to our league members, Crimson Shivers and Dev Null. In October 2011, they came up with this nutty idea of a huge flat track roller derby tournament at the Olympic Oval. They led our Tournament Committee and were instrumental in making this thing happen. Without them, it wouldn't have been nearly as successful. Thank you, Crimson and Dev, for kicking off a roller coaster ride of awesome!!!
And after a couple of days sleep, you can bet we will be starting to plot Flat Track Fever 2013!
